2022 Summer Salon - Straitjacket Artspace
An exhibition featuring a diverse range of local, national and international artists

Straitjacket is an art partnership run by two artists: Dino Consalvo and Ahn Wells in Newcastle, NSW Australia. They present curated solo, group and represented artist exhibitions.

They "established the gallery to create a space that not only supports artists by providing a professional gallery in which to exhibit and sell their artwork, but also to produce exhibitions for audiences that challenge, explore and investigate contemporary ideas and concepts".

Description
This image is based on time-lapse observations of the rhythm and visual poetry of direct and reflected sunlight.
It forms part of a broader series called ‘Luminous still life’, in which photographic compositions and digital animations are constructed that emphasise the impact of subtle changes in light occurring over time, inviting a viewer to meditate on concepts of the sublime, time, and mortality.
